What is the itinerary?The whole day will be spent at Ancaster Mill! The ceremony begins at 2:30 – between the ceremony and reception there will be a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres. The reception will last until 12:30 AM but please don’t feel like you need to stay the whole time! We just want to make sure we have plenty of time to spend with everyone.

What time should I arrive?Please aim to arrive by 2:00 so we can start promptly by 2:30. There’s only one entrance into the ceremony space so we won’t be able to let anyone in once it starts.

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?Both venues are located at the same place: 548 Old Dundas Rd, Ancaster, ON L9G 3J4, Canada Both venues are also wheelchair accessible! The area is on a bit of a hill so please be mindful of this especially in the wintertime.

What’s the dress code?We ask that you wear semi-formal/cocktail attire.

What color is the wedding party wearing?The wedding party will be wearing dark green but please don't worry about wearing the same color!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors?Yes! Both the ceremony and reception spaces are indoors. However, they are not in the same building but are located next to each other. You can walk between the two or the venue will supply a small van to shuttle guests back and forth. Here's a map of the venue to help:

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?We currently have blocks of rooms available at the Barracks Inn, Courtyard Hamilton, Sheraton Hamilton Hotel and Homewood Suites by Hilton. For more information on how to access the room blocks, please go to this page!

I'm coming from the US (or any other country that is not Canada) - do I need my passport?YES - if you are traveling from outside of Canada you will need a passport to enter the country. This includes if you are driving across the border. If you need to get a passport, please be conscious of the (fairly long) turnaround time to receive it. What will the weather be like?Well… it’s Canada in January so be prepared to bring a coat/scarf/gloves to wear when outside. As mentioned, the ceremony and reception will be indoors, but the outdoor areas of the venue will be open and cleared of snow for guests to explore!

Can I bring a plus one?Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those as listed on your wedding invitation.

Are kids invited to attend?We respectfully advise that this is an adult-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

How will you communicate any updated information and/or changes before the wedding?If there are any last-minute changes or updates regarding the event, we will reach out via the email address we have on file for each guest. When is the RSVP deadline?Please be sure to RSVP by Saturday, November 30!

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?We ask for you to be mindful of the professional photographer during the ceremony and put away all devices. Take as many pictures as you like during cocktail hour and the reception!

Is there anything else I need to know?Glad you asked! Here are a few notes from the venue that's good for you to know: • The venue has a coat closet in the ceremony space and a coat check available in the cocktail/reception area. • If for any reason you need to leave your car at the venue, they have informed us that you will be able to do so at no charge! PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE IF YOU HAVE BEEN DRINKING. Between Uber, Lyft and the scheduled shuttles, we will make sure you have way to make it back to your home/hotel etc.

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s)?We plan to have shuttles available for guests to use that will pick up from the hotels with room blocks - we will have more information on this at a later date once we see how many are staying at those hotels!

What airports should I fly in through?Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport (YHM) are both nearby to the venue. You can also fly to Buffalo, NY but know you’ll need to drive across the border to get to the venue.

Is there parking available on site?Yes, there are multiple parking lots available at the venue site. See venue map here:

Will there be food served at your wedding?The dinner is a three-course meal that you’ll select day-of from a menu at your table (so you won’t have an option on your RSVP). Please check back at a later date for the exact dinner options. We will also offer a late-night snack so we can make sure everything is staying well-fed throughout the party!

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?Yes – when RSVPing you will be asked of any allergies or dietary restrictions for each of the invited guests. If you forgot to fill that information out on the RSVP, please be sure to let us know via email at AdamandAllasyn@gmail.com.

Will there be an open bar?Yes! The open bar is available from the start of cocktail hour until 12:30 AM – so don’t feel the need to rush getting your drinks! There will be plenty of time. * please note that the venue does not allow shots to be ordered from the open bar.
